My name is Shoshana Brand.  I started Blue Rose Videos because I have a vision impairment.  I love to watch videos but I could not always tell what was going on!  To solve that problem I got some descriptive videos, but I had to buy them or get a small selection from the library.  That is why I thought of beginning a described video rental service.  I know how much more I enjoy movies that have been described, and I wanted to make them available to others with visual impairments.

I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!  And the best part is that now you can rent described videos without the cost of buying them.  Enjoy!

Blue Rose Videos is a project of Alchemia, a nonprofit organization founded in 1998 to provide creative vocational and expressive arts opportunities for individuals with disabilities.  A vital part of our program is the Dream Building Lab, in which participants are supported in transforming their own exciting business ideas into hands-on realities.

We are extremely proud to be involved in the evolution of Shoshana Brand’s dream, Blue Rose Videos With a Voice, which will address an important need in the community, and may inspire the realization of unprecedented new dreams in the future.
